Do you ever feel like you’re overwhelmed? I get that way sometimes with juggling my household & my business and I know I’m certainly not alone in this! So many people talk about where to find that perfect balance to really make it work best for you. To make myself feel more at ease, I’ve decided to start making lists and writing things down. When I can cross things off, there is a huge sense of accomplishment that comes along with it! My goals for this weekend were to take a few photos from my own personal life and to actually have time with my family. It’s hard to believe, but my hubby & I just celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on Saturday!
Five years sounds like a lot to me and – not gonna lie – it feels like a lot some of the time. But I think that’s what relationships are all about. Finding the happiness in the good times and the bad. Learning to grow from our mistakes. We are young and can both be fairly stubborn (I know, you’re totally surprised to hear that, right?!). It’s hard sometimes to really have time to work on just “us” since we have our own little family, but I think we are slowly learning! On Friday, I received these beautiful flowers from my hubby. He chose these because red, white & pink tulips were our wedding flowers. The fact that he remembers tiny little details like that is so dang sweet!
We spent Saturday (our actual anniversary) having fun family time and went to a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. Watch out… getting a little crazy, right? 😉 We ended the evening out at dinner with just the two of us at a nice restaurant downtown. Originally I planned to take my camera along & take photos of the environment, food, etc. But then I decided to just enjoy the time. I left the camera at home and enjoyed having a rare real conversation with him! All in all, it was a very nice day.
On Sunday, I was SO excited when I found out that my new website would be going mobile with HTML5! So now, you can fully interact, access & use my website from your iPad, iPhone and other mobile devices! It’s so pretty to see and makes me so happy!
I hope your weekend was just as fabulous as mine! Remember to take time out of your busy life to just enjoy simple things with your family & friends! xoxo!
ChristyGood for you for leaving the camera at home for your date night! I’m working on this myself… on focusing 100% of my attention on James during the times we have together – no pictures, no business talk… and it’s not always easy! Glad you guys had a great anniversary! 🙂 xo!
